Valley Forge Stone is a small quartzite quarry atop a ridge of
the Welsh Mountains between Honey Brook and Morgantown, Pennsylvania.
The quarry opened in 1976 and the deposit produces a white stone and manufactured sand used throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, and parts of New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. Uses include decorative landscaping stone, golf course bunker sand, sand mound septic systems, and the manufacturing of concrete masonry. These and other uses benefit from the granular shape and the white color of the Valley Forge Stone aggregate.
